Apr. -  1 Snow melted fast.  Grass is showing some green, but now we need warm weather for it to grow.  Both Fresh Tracks and RRG look good. No activity either place.

Apr.  -  8  The Curlews are back today.   No activity on Fresh Tracks, but more prairie dogs are out on RRG.

Apr. -12 thru the rest of the month, we have been going to Fresh Tracks at least once a week and sometimes twice.  The neighbors around there have leased their land for a wind farm and the company was supposed to be sending two groups out to the area to study it for possible roads, etc.  We wanted to make sure they weren’t driving around on Fresh Tracks.  Did not see any activity.

Apr. – 14  Checked RRG – all okay there.  Ravens and hawks in tree and by house.

Apr.  – 21 Checked RRG from Road DD. 

Apr. – 23 The Hummingbirds are back.  Put up feeders in my yard.  Actually most of the bird have returned by now

Apr. – 28 Checked RRG – Quite a few prairie dogs were out.   There was much evidence of spring cleaning around their holes  and several new holes.  I guess they like a clean home to start the summer with too!  Most of them that we saw were fat and sassy  - looks like they wintered well.

We had several good rains during April.  The grass is green, but short – still need warm weather.  Wild flowers are starting to bloom and this country looks GOOD!
