FRESH TRACKS AND RRG LOG – JULY 2009

July 5 – No activity on RRG today except the prairie dogs were out and black birds were in the tree by the house.  Got 3/10” of rain today

July 11 –Checked Fresh Tracks from the west side.  Just across fence to the west I saw a Pronghorn  with twin fawns.

July 16 – Drove along east side and thru Fresh Tracks on Road JJ, no activity.   Also checked RRG from east and south sides.  Prairie dogs were out and saw sever new holes.

July 18 –Drove along south side of RRG.  All okay

July 22 – Checked RRG from west side.  Also checked Fresh tracks from west side.

July 25 – Checked both Fresh Tracks and RRG.  It is getting really dry and grass is getting brown, however some of the fall wild flowers are blooming.

July 31 –Did not check pastures this week.  It finally started raining on the 26th and has rained some to a lot, nearly every day this week.  Roads have been muddy.  A tornado even touched down west of RRG. The photo was taken about five miles west of RRG, looking to the east.

The grass is already turning green and in a few days it will look like spring again.
